So, ok, every single one of you boxing fans thinks that Cotto will win because Cotto was big and blah, blah ,blah, whatsoever. Look. On December 6, 2008, Pacquiao faced Oscar De la Hoya. Every critic, every boxing analyst, and even of you fans think that Oscar will dominate Manny because Pacquiao was too small for Oscar, that Oscar had a devastating left hook, and other stuff but just look on what happened. Weight doesn't matter. Weight, destroyed by the speed of the Pac-Man. Also, for those people who are saying that the Pacman-Pretty Boy fight is also equal to the JMM-PBF fight, Come on, Marquez is way different than Pacquiao. Marquez is a resilient counter-puncher and also Mayweather is also an elite counter-puncher. Imagine, if both counter-punchers faced in a brawl, it is like two gays faced in a salon parlor. Boring. But for Pacquiao, he was known for his power, speed, and agility, and also his humility. Yeah, I know most of you believe that JMM beat Pac 2 times but if you see the thing on what happened... The one judge on the first fight didn't acutally noticed that Pacquiao KO'ed Juan Manuel Marquez, three times, so he scored 10-7, instead of 10-6... if that judge score 10-6, then it might be a Pacquiao victory, then on the second fight, yes, I admit that Pacquiao didn't show all the heart on that fight but that 3rd round proving to be the difference. Ok, so, Marquez always out-boxing Pacquiao but cannot KO Pacquiao. You are already beaten beaten Marquez and you never will beat Pacquiao again, just go drink your urine, machismo. Also, Mayweather is known for his elite defense... but on all his opponents, no one has ever shown some speed to Floyd and some power too except Oscar De La Hoya, and it ended via Split Decision. So, imagine, if a counter-puncher collide with a power-puncher... that will be the Fight of the Year plus, more PPV buys because it excites the boxing fans that this will be the judgment day on who will be the true P4P of this modern age in the world of boxing.
I am just shocked that every fight fan underestimate Pacquiao's speed and how he destroyed his opponents bigger than him. He is always moving up in reaching almost every weight class from Flyweight in 1996 up to Welterweight in December 2008. Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Diaz, Hatton, and De La Hoya, if you observe that it is arranged by weight class, from Barrera at 126 on 2003 to De La Hoya at 147 on 2008, from only 5 years, he moved up 5 weight classes. 2 years at 126, 2 years at 130 and a year, again, and a year in 135, 147, and 140. He is proving that he can beat the best in every weight class. Nuff said.
Mayweather is always praised when he is matched-up with somebody, but when Pacquiao is matched-up with somebody, he is underestimated and look at what happened, he proves that he can beat that guy. 'Pulling an upset' is NOT, again, is NOT the right term when Manny beats somebody. Did you see that this man, this man will be soon to be in the Boxing Hall of Fame and an ALL-TIME Great? They just don't see it. Look at that, Teddy Atlas, Max Kellerman, even Bernard, 'The Executioner' Hopkins, when they make a prediction on a Pacquiao fight, they oppose Pac-Man, but after the bell, they are silenced and at the same time, they were amazed on this guy. So, Cotto fans, beware of the new and improved Manny Pacquiao. Every fight, he is improving since the 2nd fight with Marquez, when he gains weight, he gains 'power', 'speed', and 'agility', so, what more can you ask for? I say, the De La Hoya-Pacquiao fight is like the Cotto-Pacquiao fight. I am sure about that. So, to the Mexican machismos, Brits cleets, and the Boricuan flukes, beware on Manny Pacquiao.
